artist statement

I’m inspired by simplicity. Classic, simple things. I embrace technology to the point that it feeds my thoughts and expressions. While at times, it can be a challenge to capture the way my mind’s eye sees an image – it just takes, patience and timing to get to it’s simple truth.

I often retire to nature to clear my head, finding strength and wisdom in prayer. I also use movement practice such as breath work, martial arts, and calisthenics to keep me heathy in mind and body.

To me, photography is all about connecting with the subject – waiting for it to give you something, and being open and ready to capture it.

I’ve been commissioned by businesses, magazines and artists to photograph all varieties of subject matter, all over the world. My work has appeared in publications such as Wine Spectator, Guitar Player, Seventeen, Home and Garden, International Watch, as well as many in-house publications, brochures, websites and books.
